Alleged Dealer Charged As Cocaine, Cash Seized In Town Of Poughkeepsie Drug Raid

An alleged dealer has been arrested and charged following a drug raid in the Town of Poughkeepsie, police say.

The Dutchess County Drug Task Force carried out a search warrant at 621 Sheafe Road on Wednesday, March 6. The warrant was the result of a narcotics sales investigation in the area.

The warrant was carried out without incident and resulted in the discovery of the following:

  • Approximately seven grams of cocaine
  • Approximately 800 illegally processed prescription pills
  • Cash totaling $3,400
  • An illegal firearm

The residence’s occupant, 53-year-old William Valentin, was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, a class B felony.

Valentin was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Court and remanded to Dutchess County Jail without bail. Additional charges may be pending.
